Dolcetto Langhe Visadi 2007 |
|
$ 27.31 USD
Aged in a fleeting 2-3 months in used oak barrel for clarification
purposes, this exhibits a lively bright purple colour. One of the most
harmonious Dolcettos Clerico has made, this is juicy and precise with
delicious, refreshing bitter sweet cherry character, showing perfect
acid balance and fine but fortifying fruit tannins.

Barbera d'Alba Trevigne 2004 |
|
$ 34.99 USD
As its title 'Trevigne' suggests, this comes
from three vineyards in the Monforte d'Alba region. Aged in 70% new
french oak, this boasts the typical mix of structure and modern polish
we have come to expect from Clerico's wines, offering flavours of
blackberry, cherry, mineral and oak spice.

Barbera d'Alba Trevigne 2006 |
|
$ 37.07 USD
As its title 'Trevigne' suggests, this comes
from three vineyards in the Monforte d'Alba region. Aged in fifty
percent new oak for 14 months though you would not guess it such is the
exuberance of fruit. A bright, complex perfumed Barbera, brimming with
wild pure blueberry and blackberry fruit character that is given
definition by firm, guiding, fine-grained tannins and crisp juicy
acids.

"Arte" Langhe Rosso 2001 |
|
$ 49.00 USD
A blackcurrant and forest berry infused wine, boasting deep concentration and grainy ripe fruit tannins.
|
|
"Arte" Langhe Rosso 2004 |
|
$ 52.00 USD
Unusually this Arte does not contain any
Barbera, being a 90% Nebbiolo 10% Cabernet blend aged in French oak
barriques for one year. The Nebbiolo part of the blend is the result of
the young vines of his three Cru vineyards. This demonstrates powerful,
brooding flavours of ripe hedgerow fruits and spice, a muscular,
intense and close-knit wine of great potential.

"Arte" Lanche Rosso 2006 |
|
$ 54.83 USD
From the 2001 vintage this no longer contains
any Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 90 percent Nebbiolo (bussia plus
young vines ginestra) and 10 percent Barbera aged in 70 percent new
oak. A strapping wine packed with flavour, robust meaty tannins wrapped
in silky juicy, lifting fruits, touches of cherry, bramble liqueur and
raspberry, one of Clerico's best Artes.

Barolo 2002 |
|
$ 69.50 USD
The only Barolo Clerico made in 2002 was this.
A de-classification of his best Barolo parcels. Despite its ageing in
new french oak barriques for 24 months this is incredibly fruit and
mineral rich, boasting great clarity of flavour. The palate displays
herb, black cherry and mocha notes with touches of raspberry and
bramble. A punchy, brooding Barolo in true Monteforte style.

stunning depth and expansiveness in its dark cherries, menthol, spices,

It is a profound effort from Domenico Clerico. Anticipated maturity:
